Our Answers

To the questions you should be asking your photographer before hiring them! These questions will help you understand each photographer’s approach to weddings, and in turn find the one that best fits your needs!

How many weddings do you photograph per year?

We intentionally limit ourselves to 10 couples per year. This isn’t about scarcity, it’s about showing up fully. A smaller calendar means more energy, more care, and more presence for every couple we work with. It also means no burnout. Whether you are our first or last wedding of the year, you will get us at 110%!

What is your turnaround time for delivering the final images?

You’ll receive a preview within 24 hours of your wedding, and your full gallery within 4 weeks. We believe you shouldn’t have to wait months to relive one of the most meaningful days of your life.

Do you use associate photographers or rotating second shooters?

No. Every wedding is photographed by the same trusted team — Myself (Jolana) and Kalika. We are with you from beginning to end, and beyond.

Do you offer full-day coverage, or are packages based on set hours?

We believe weddings aren’t meant to be confined into 4, 6, or 8 hours. Our approach is full-day coverage, so you’re never choosing between moments or watching the clock. Full day coverage also helps when you have a longer break between ceremony and reception. We used to be hourly, but after noticing how this created unnecessary stress for our couples as they tried to fit their whole day into 6 hours, we knew the best way to support our couples was to not limit them time-wise.

What happens if the timeline runs late?

Timelines almost always shift — and that’s okay! We build flexibility into our approach, stay calm when plans change, and adapt as needed so stress doesn’t land on you. This is also where our full day coverage approach comes in handy. Whether things are running 10 minutes behind, 2 hours behind, or you decided the dance floor is just too hot to not be photographed to the complete end, we are with you the whole time without you running into “it’s past our paid for hours.”

What back-up systems do you have in place if something goes wrong with your gear/ memory cards?

We’ve all heard the horror stories, so backup systems are non-negotiable for us. On your wedding day, I photograph with two cameras on me at all times, and I bring four total camera bodies along with multiple lenses, so there’s always a backup ready to go if something fails. Kalika also has his own backup gear, including an extra drone.

Even more importantly, our cameras write to two memory cards simultaneously. That means every image is saved twice in real time — so if a card were ever to corrupt, your photos are still completely safe. This is a big one, and something not all photographers prioritize.

For additional peace of mind, I’m also part of a professional Canon membership, which allows for expedited repairs and overnight service if anything were to happen leading up to or after your wedding. So in short: your memories are protected at every level, so you never have to worry about the “what ifs.”

How do you help couples feel comfortable if they’re nervous or awkward in front of the camera?

You’re not alone — most couples feel this way. We don’t expect you to know how to pose or know what to do with your hands (the age old question right!?). We give you prompts, guide and show you poses when needed, keep things relaxed, and focus on real connection. We also focus on using a lot of movement-based prompts, which helps you stay in the moment with your person and takes the focu off the camera.  And yes — we’ll absolutely make things less awkward when needed by being our own awkward selves!

How do you balance getting photos with letting us actually enjoy our wedding?

This is one of our biggest priorities — it’s literally in our name, The Photography Experience. We’re always paying attention to when photos add to the experience and when they might take away from it. Our goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be fully yourselves, which helps us intuitively know when to document a moment and when to step back and let you live it.

We also believe in checking in, not assuming. For example, during sunset photos, we’ll ask what you need in that moment — whether you want a few photos, a quiet minute alone to breathe, or if you’re ready to head back and dance the night away uninterrupted. That awareness and communication allow us to capture meaningful images without ever pulling you out of your own experience.

Do you offer albums or printed products?

Absolutely, we love products! We believe your memories deserve so much more than a folder on a hard drive. We also strongly believe that your wedding photos should be a work of art that you are EXCITED to display on your walls and in fancy books.

We offer handcrafted, completely personalized couture albums. We do the planning and designing of the albums and also help design wall art on your own walls.

How do you support couples beyond just taking photos?

We’re not confined to a job description. If stepping in to calm nerves, fix something, carry something, run an errand, hype people up, or quietly create space helps reduce stress — that’s what we’ll do. Our role is to protect your experience in whatever way the moment calls for. We also provide you a welcome guide to help with planning, create a timeline for you, and are available to you at anytime with anything wedding related!

The day of, Kalika makes sure you have a drink in your hand at all times and are fed, and also fiercely protects your peace.

Can I see a full wedding gallery of a past wedding you have photographed?

Absolutely. We’re always happy to share full galleries, not just highlight reels of our best work (because who is going to put their non-favorite images of a wedding day on their website!?), so you can see how we document an entire wedding day from start to finish. This also helps you see how we deal with all types of lighting conditions and how we handle every part of your day.
