These are the things working 12-hour shifts in the Psychiatric Emergency Room taught me.
When you sit with people at rock bottom, you learn what really counts. Choosing to be true to yourself, and honor the love between you and your person in your unique way? That’s the kind of decision you’ll never regret.

What can I say about Jolana and The Photography Experience that hasn’t already been said? Jolana captured our Adventure Elopement on the West Coast on the rainy Oregon Coast. From start to finish we had an absolutely incredible experience.
Jolana scouted out locations in advance and helped us through every little detail, big or small. She made sure we stopped for good food along the way and were comfortable all day. It’s always a bit awkward posing, but we felt so at ease getting married and taking photos at the beach. Truly like hanging out with long time friends.
Our photos came out stunning. We spent an afternoon combing through the online gallery, wishing we could display each and every one in our home. Somehow, these photos captured our spirits and love for each other, and I can’t imagine anything better.
Anyone would be lucky to work with Jolana, I’d do it all again in a heart beat no matter the cost!

I’m Jolana!

And my life goal is to Eat, Hike, and Photograph my way around the world.
Let me start off by saying that I’m a huge goof. I love anything food (clearly!) and travel related, am a little too sarcastic for my own good, and am a huge optimist. I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie: Give me heights, rock climbing, new experiences, crazy local foods, and a camera to capture it all with.
Outside of photography, I am a writer, and am actually a published author for a book of poems I created with a close friend of mine titled….you ready for this? “Tales from the Toilet: A collection of Poems.” Yes, you read that right.
I am a sucker for Human Connection. I truly believe that is our purpose here on this planet, and my purpose is to encourage it and capture it. To photograph those awe-inspiring moments, to remind us how we felt in a specific moment of time, and to show others the emotions we cannot express otherwise.
I also believe it is up to us to help preserve this beautiful planet of ours, and to soak in all the wonders mother nature has to offer. Getting to combine these two things…well… I couldn’t ask for a better career.
